Ottumwa Youth Activities Opportunities

Ottumwa Youth Wrestling / DC Elite Sign Ups

Ottumwa Youth Wrestling and Developing Champions Wrestling (DC Elite) invites students in grades Kindergarten to 6th grade.

  • Dates: Tuesday, November 4 or Thursday, November 6, 2025
  • Time: 5:00-7:00 PM
  • Location: Ottumwa High School Wrestling Room (Enter Door 7)

Practices start the week of November 10! Singlets/shirts available for purchase.

Boys Youth Basketball League

The 2025 Boys Youth Basketball season welcomes any boy in grades 3rd through 6th to participate.

Through this program, boys will learn the fundamentals of basketball. Participants will receive instruction from Ottumwa High School and Middle School coaches, as well as current players. The league will consist of two divisions: 3rd and 4th grade combined and 5th and 6th grade combined.

Dates:
  • Saturday, November 8: 9:00-10:00 AM for 3rd/4th graders (Evans)
  • Saturday, November 8: 10:30 AM-12:00 PM for 5th/6th graders (Evans)
  • Saturday, November 15: 8:00 AM-12:00 PM (Evans)
  • Saturday, November 22: 8:00 AM-12:00 PM (Evans)
  • Saturday, December 6: 8:00 AM-12:00 PM (OHS)
  • Saturday, December 13: 8:00 AM-12:00 PM (OHS)
NOTE: The camp will be held Saturday, November 8, and is 9:00-10:00 AM for 3rd/4th graders, and 10:30 AM-12:00 PM for 5th/6th graders.

Locations:
  • Ottumwa Evans Junior High School gymnasium, 812 Chester Avenue, Ottumwa.
  • Ottumwa High School gymnasium, 501 E Second Street, Ottumwa.

Cost: The participation cost is $30 per player. Registration cost includes a T-shirt jersey for games, skills camp, practices, skills/drills, admission to one varsity contest, and a pizza party.
