Ottumwa Youth Cheer Team will provide a fun atmosphere for kids to learn the fundamentals of cheerleading. Participants will receive instruction from Ottumwa High School coaches and cheerleaders. Kids will learn a routine consisting of a dance, jumps, and age-appropriate stunts.
Red Team: 2nd and 3rd Grade
White Team: 4th and 5th Grade
Practice Dates:
- Sunday, February 2nd: (Red Team 1:30p-2:30p / White Team 2:30p-3:30p)
- Sunday, February 9th: (Red Team 1:30p-2:30p / White Team 2:30p-3:30p)
- Sunday, February 16th: (Red Team 1:30p-2:30p / White Team 2:30p-3:30p)
- Saturday, March 8th: (Red Team 8a-10a / White Team 10a-noon)

Please have your child at practice ten minutes early to stretch since practice time is limited.
The performance will be held at the Iowa XPlosion Cheer/ Dance New Year’s Bash at the Bridge View Center on Saturday, March 8th. Exact time of the performance is TBD, it will be after 2pm. Performers will enter for free, spectator tickets will range from $12-$15.
Attendance: It is essential that all who sign up are able to attend ALL practices and the performance. We understand that illness and emergencies happen, but please check your calendars prior to reserving and registering.
Fees and Registration Information
Fees: $50 per child which includes T-Shirt and Bow. Cash or Check payable to OHS cheer is due at the first practice on Sunday, February 2nd.
