Meet the New Ottumwa High School Associate Principal

Ottumwa Community Schools is pleased to announce that Angela Scholl has been named the Associate Principal at Ottumwa High School for the 2024-25 school year. Mrs. Scholl will fill the position vacated by Jordan Buell.

Mrs. Scholl has held various leadership and administrative positions, including Director of At-Risk Programming at College Community School District in Cedar Rapids, and Dean of Students at Maquoketa Middle School. She has implemented innovative initiatives such as restorative practices and multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) and led multiple innovative at-risk and alternative learning programs. Mrs. Scholl has also served as the Instructional Design Strategist and Math Teacher at North Central/Northwest Junior High in Iowa City, where she played a pivotal role in implementing hybrid and remote learning models. With a background in curriculum development and instructional leadership, she has successfully implemented standards-based grading and facilitated Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to enhance teaching and learning for improved student outcomes. Angie also has extensive experience with the New Art & Science of Teaching and the High-Reliability Schools framework.

Scholl is set to assume her new role as Associate Principal of Ottumwa High School on July 1, 2024.
