The Legacy Foundation is proud to sponsor this year’s premier community cross country events: The Legacy Foundation Lighted Links Girls Cross Country Race and The Legacy Foundation Lighted Links Boys Cross Country Race.

The races will be hosted by Ottumwa High School at the Ottumwa Golf & Social Club, 304 E Golf on Saturday, September 20, 2025. Under the lights, the girls’ race is tentatively scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m., with the boys’ race following.

This marks the second year for the Lighted Links races, which bring together student-athletes, families, and fans for an exciting evening of competition and community pride.

In addition to the Legacy Foundation’s sponsorship, the event is made possible through the support of Musco Lighting. The Oskaloosa-based company is powering the races with its mobile light structures, creating a unique nighttime racing experience. Musco has a long history of providing innovative lighting solutions for projects in Ottumwa, and its partnership ensures that the Lighted Links races shine brightly for both athletes and spectators.

Spectators are encouraged to attend and cheer on the cross country athletes as they compete on the golf course under the lights at The Club.
