Dear Ottumwa Schools Community,
The holiday season is upon us—a time for giving, sharing, and spreading joy. The Ottumwa Community School District is excited to launch the "Bulldog Giving Tree" initiative to support students and families in need within our community. This program is a special opportunity for us to come together as a community and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who may need a little extra support this festive season.
You can adopt a student or family by visiting the Bulldog Tree at The Welcome Center, located at 331 E. Main Street. From the tree, you can select the student or family you'd like to support. You'll receive basic information such as gender, clothing/shoe sizes, and a wish list of items. With this information, you can help spread holiday cheer by purchasing gifts for them. Once you've collected the items, simply drop them off unwrapped at the Welcome Center, and we’ll ensure they’re delivered to the families in time for the holidays. All gifts should be delivered to The Welcome Center on or before Monday, December 16 at Noon.
This initiative isn’t just about giving gifts; it’s about showing kindness, compassion, and bringing joy to families who may be facing challenges during this season. Whether you’re a staff member, a parent, or a caring community member, your participation can make a huge difference.
If you’re interested in adopting a student or family, please visit The Welcome Center. Your generosity will truly make someone’s holiday brighter.
Thank you for your support and for embodying the true spirit of giving this holiday season.
Warm regards,
Megan Logan
